Sack him or back him
This impasse is doing nobody any good, the team is suffering, Allardyce looks uninterested, fans are restless. Surely they must know if they want him or not, stop fannying around and make a decision. Rome is burning while Nero fiddles.

For the record I would change manager now, bring in Potts or someone till the end of the season and go for Bilic or Benitez in the summer.

January was a key moment for us. We were in a good place, still in decent form, on the coat tails of the top 4

We needed to invest and strengthen the squad. We needed to take the opportunity we had with both hands and run with it. You may pay over the odds fur players in January, but there won't be many seasons where, with hakf the season to go, we are above Liverpool and Spurs, close to Man U and arsenal and in with a shout of European football

We signed no one. Well, we sugned a centre back no one had heard of who the manager seems to have no faith in as he wound t play him even when we had no fully fit centre backs

We blew our season by not bringing anyone in. Our small squad is fading fast now and teams have figured us out. We can't cooe with 3 injuries. And I'm pretty certain the reason us that the board didn't want to back Sam and bulk the squad with Allardyce players if he hsbt going to be here next season. But in doing so we've basically condemned ourselves to mid table.

It's a quite staggering lack of ambition.

You should all know by now that G&S don't sack managers mid-season. It's not a bad trait.

We should just be patient and let Mr Allardycci keep on signing his own P45....

Will tell

Disagree mate - get shit now, give a new manager a few months to assess the squad and know what he needs before the summer. The season is slipping away - a top 7 team is a more attractive prospect than one that finishes on a par with Stoke swansea and some other shit that's catching up with us now

sniper what good managers are available now, rather than potentially at the end of the season?

Willtell 12:32 Mon Mar 2
Re: Sack him or back him
Realistically all the best managers are probably under contract. Only previously sacked managers will be available. Tempting someone currently working is going to be impossible for a successful manager and that requires G&S to pay a transfer fee for a manager which I doubt they would do as well as pay off SA!

I would imagine that G&S purposely withheld funds from SA in January, so that they can give it, and the summer money, to the new manager.

Re: Sack him or back him
IF and it's a big IF Benetiz is available in the Summer and there is a chance of him coming here I think we would be mad not to get him on board. I personally think he is a great manager.

A case of thank you Allardyce you have served your contract and done everything was asked of you.

However if there are no better options, and Benetiz isn't available.. Then Allardyce still may be a better option for the next 2 years for Premier League status and then first year in OS, as I haven't seen any names thrown around (Other than Benetiz) that I actually think are an improvement on Allardyce at the moment.
